About me
Angela
In my development as an artist, I have chosen the landscape. I walk a lot and make studies of the landscape and I am constantly asking this question: What is a landscape? I translate existing landscapes into my own works and the elements of colour and sand are important.
My roots lie in the Udenhout dunes that still inspire me. My paintings are built up layer by layer similar to the Earth that is also built up in layers.
I want to create my own world with my paintings and I strive for the viewer to be touched by my images.
In addition to regularly exhibiting in the Netherlands and abroad, most of the paintings you can see at my website are for sale or for rent.
Assignments
I also work commissioned by individuals and companies. The assignments range from an exhibition, to designing maps and a mural, to a female nude.
Teacher
Since 1991 I have been teaching drawing and painting to adults, youth and children. I currently teach at Stichting Kunst en Cultuur in Woudenberg and at the School of HIP in Laren and Bilthoven. I also teach to individuals and provide workshops for individuals and companies.
